Cantina La Martina was opened by James Beard Awards Finalist Chef Dionicio Jiménez in February 2022. He brought inspiration from states throughout Mexico to create the authentic Mexican menu at his Kensington restaurant, which is closed as of November 2025.
Since launching Cantina La Martina, Chef Jiménez and his wife and Co-owner Mariangeli Alicea Saez have opened La Baja in Ambler, PA, Cantina on the Go at Human Robot Brewery in Jenkintown, PA and Cantina on the Go Cottman Ave in Cheltenham, PA.
